Laptops from Chinese manufacturers are becoming increasingly popular in Russia. One of the fresh brands for many Russians is Maibenben, which specializes in office and gaming models. In this article, we will talk in detail about the Maibenben X568 gaming laptop, which offers very interesting features at an attractive price.

But first, a few words about the manufacturer himself. The history of the brand began in 2013, when Guangzhou ZIMAI Technology decided to produce high-quality and practical laptops for a young audience.

Maibenben X568 is a 15.6-inch IPS panel gaming laptop with QHD resolution (2560 × 1440 pixels), 100% sRGB color gamut and 165Hz refresh rate. Excellent performance for a gaming system. In addition, the display is surrounded by thin bezels, due to which the laptop turned out to be quite compact.

This laptop is powered by the 11th Gen 10nm Intel Core i7-11800H (Tiger Lake) processor. It has eight cores and sixteen threads, and runs at clock speeds from 2.3 GHz (base) to 4.6 GHz in auto overclocking mode. The TDP level is 45W, and for better cooling, a liquid metal thermal interface with higher efficiency is used instead of thermal paste. The computing power of this chip is enough for any modern games.

Such a productive processor is also complemented by very powerful video cards. Maibenben X568 is offered in versions with GeForce RTX 3060 or GeForce RTX 3070 graphics accelerators with power consumption up to 115 and 125 watts, respectively. The younger model has a GPU with 3840 CUDA cores, which is complemented by 6 GB of GDDR6 memory. In turn, the mobile GeForce RTX 3070 offers 5120 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. The contact of the video chip with the cooling system is also carried out through the “liquid metal”. Each of these video cards is capable of “carrying” any modern games, including those with ray tracing.

The Maibenben X568 laptop is offered with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, although up to 64GB is supported. SO-DIMM modules are used with an effective frequency of 3200 MHz. For data storage, a 512 GB PCIe 3.0 SSD is provided. But more interestingly, the laptop has a free M.2 slot with PCIe 4.0 x4, in which the user can install another SSD himself. At the same time, most importantly, RAM and SSD can be upgraded without losing the warranty.

A three-cell lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 94 Wh is responsible for autonomous operation. The manufacturer promises that this battery will provide the laptop with up to 12 hours of video playback. The kit comes with a 230W power supply.

Also Maibenben X568 is equipped with everything that is required from a modern powerful laptop. These are Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless interfaces (Intel AX201 adapter), a 2.5 Gb / s wired Ethernet network interface, three USB3.2 Gen2 ports, a USB Type-C connector with Thunderbolt 4 support (with DisplayPort 1.4a alternative mode ), SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, HDMI 2.1 video output and 3.5mm audio jack. A pair of 2 W speakers is responsible for the sound, and there is also a pair of microphones. The webcam has infrared illumination and can be used for biometric user identification – there is support for Windows Hello.

Separately, it is worth paying attention to the keyboard, because it is not the most common for a laptop here. A keyboard is used on low-profile mechanical switches (manufacturer not specified) with a key travel of 2 mm. Mechanical keyboards are prized among gamers for their better responsiveness and tactile feel.

Packed all this in a fairly light, but at the same time durable case made of aluminum-magnesium alloy. The laptop measures 356.4 x 233.8 x 20.5mm and weighs just 1.93kg. This is really not much for such a powerful portable system, and even with a large battery. The body is made in black.

The Maibenben X568 laptop in the version with the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card is priced at $1900. The older version with the GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card will cost $2300.
