Corsair to Launch MP700 Series M.2 SSDs with PCIe 5.0 Support and Read Speeds up to 10 GB/s

Corsair recently announced that its products, including DDR5 memory kits and thermal solutions, are fully compatible with the new Socket AM5 platform, meaning they are ready for AMD Ryzen 7000 processors. support for the PCIe 5.0 interface, which the new AMD platform will support.

The launch of Corsair MP700 PCIe 5.0 SSDs is expected to coincide with the launch of Ryzen 7000 processors and new motherboards based on AMD 600 series chipsets.

On its official website, Corsair published preliminary data on the MP700 series of drives, where it compared the new SSDs with the MP510 PCIe 3.0 and MP600 Pro XT PCIe 4.0 series models. The manufacturer indicates that the new items will provide sequential read speeds up to 10 GB / s, and sequential write speeds up to 9.5 GB / s, significantly surpassing their predecessors.

Corsair did not disclose the full technical specifications of the SSD of the new series, and did not even provide their images. The cost of new products, too, is still unknown. In comparison, the Corsair MP600 XT PCI 4.0 NVMe 2TB drive is currently selling for around $240. Surely the MP700 series SSD with PCIe 5.0 support and the same volume will be priced more expensive.
